My name is Danielle I own and Operate Dani’s Knit-n-Stitch in Rocky Comfort Mo. I am an Avid knitter who returned to knitting last year after a Spinal Cord injury in my neck damaged the nerves in my upper body. Some may ask how I am able to knit; as part of my continuing Physical Therapy knitting plays a big part as it keeps my fingers, hand and wrists from further muscular deterioration by keeping them constanly moving.
The knit-n-Stitch evolved due to a lifetime love of Yarn and Fabric Crafts instilled in me by my Mom and Great Grandma and the need for a Specialty Yarn and Fabric Shop in my area. This Blog is a part of that to keep everyone informed of my current projects and anything special or otherwise at the Knit-n-Stitch.
Sannybug is just one of my 4 cats that keep me busy and supervise my knitting. They also take great pride in disrupting said knitting especially Charlie, who is a Fiber Snob and will only play with my Wool and Wool Blend Yarns. We recently (as in Thanksgiving Day) “aquired” 2 kittens appx 8-10 weeks old who have decided that my yarn stash belongs to them and they dont care what type of yarn it is; its all for their playing pleasure.
I am Married to a wonderful man who is a very good enabler when it comes to all things fiber as he loves crafting especially Cross Stitch, and can Knit too when he remembers how. We have a 13 yr old Son who has also caught the Crafting and Cooking Bug from us and often ”talks” his Grame (my Mom) into purchasing crafting goodies for him.
