WOOOO HOOOO!!
At 7AM CST 8PM in Beijing the 2008 Summer Olympics started. It isnt being broadcast here yet that starts at 1AM CST on USA Network tonight.
Now for Ravelympics….Since The Yarn Harlot brought out the Knitting Olympics in 2006 and is only hosting the Winter Olympics a bunch of people got together and now there is a Ravelympics 2008 in honor of the Summer Olympics. I’m Participating as a member of Team Loopy in the WIPS Wrestling event I have entered my DSS (Soldier Socks), Illusions, and the socks I am custom fitting for Brian.
Thelonious is coming along, I turned the heel and started the gusset decreases yesterday and tried it on. The Lace work opens up nicely when on and the pttern is looking very nice in the red Wollmeise.
Wed I met my new Neurologist, hes from Russia (moved here at 15) and retired from the Army after serving for 29yrs. He seems really nice but I still miss Dr. Candler. The good news is since my condition has stabilized and the only flares I am having are mild and still in the same areas as the original attack I dont have to go back in every 3 months like before. Now I just need to whenever I have a severe flare or need renewals on my prescriptions and I will need to get another MRI but not until the SSDI comes through and we can afford it, unless of course the gov specifically requests a new one.
Well back to knitting I have several WIPS to get finished…Updates and pics to come!
